MEET OUR TEAM
Cody
As founder of IU Canada, Cody has been leading and overseeing most activities since its launch in September 2019. He also manages the volunteer team in Vancouver. Cody became a Uaena in 2010 after watching IU’s “Good Day” comeback stage on Show! Music Core. His Top 3 songs from IU’s discography are “Knees”, “Heart” and “Love poem”. Aside from IU, his other hobbies include playing badminton and going on summer hikes.
Amanda
Amanda is from Nova Scotia and joined IU Canada in December 2020 to aid in managing various social media channels. She has been a Uaena for some time, and adores “Above the Time”, “You & I” and “eight”. Amanda loves studying languages, watching dramas and listening to music.
Rebekah
Rebekah is from Toronto and has been active in her role as a web designer since she joined in December 2020. On top of this, she is keen on group orders and helps manage group orders in Eastern Canada. Rebekah became a Uaena in 2013 when she watched Dream High. Her Top 3 songs from IU are “Heart”, “BBIBBI”, and “Someday”. Some of her hobbies include playing the piano, guitar and watching dramas.
Jin
Jin is an official translator for IU Canada and has been performing a variety of Korean and English translation/interpretation duties since January 2020. She became a Uaena in 2013 when she first heard IU’s “Friday”. Jin’s Top 3 songs are “Through The Night”, “The Visitor” and “Ending Scene”. Some of her favourite hobbies include exploring different places in local communities and trying new food. She also loves to travel and experience new cultures.
Natalie
Natalie is from Toronto and joined IU Canada in December 2020 as a graphic designer. She has been a Uaena ever since she watched the drama “The Producers”. Natalie’s Top 3 songs from IU are “Through the Night, “Heart” and “Lullaby”. Besides her interest in K-pop and K-drama, she also likes traveling, trying new food and curling.
Nancy
Nancy is from Toronto and joined IU Canada in February 2023 as an Instagram Coordinator. She has been a Uaena since 2010 after listening to IU's "Marshmallow" at her friend's house. Nancy's top 3 songs are "Lost Child", "Dear Name", and "My Sea". Some of her hobbies include going to music festivals, travelling to different countries & within a country.
Evens
Evens is from Vancouver and joined the IU Canada team as a graphic designer in March 2023. They are currently a 4th year student, full-time Uaena, majoring in Media and minoring in Korean language and culture. Evens' top 3 songs from IU's discography are "The Visitor", "Love poem", and "Twenty=three". When not designing, Evens spends time writing music and also enjoys photography.
Deluxna
Deluxna is from Toronto and has been helping to plan various IU Canada projects and events since November 2019. She became a Uaena after watching IU’s performance at the Melon Music Awards in 2017. If she had to choose her favourite songs from IU’s discography, it would have to include “Knees”, “Sleepless Rainy Night” and “The Visitor”. During her spare time, Deluxna enjoys watching dramas and her favourite one from IU is Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo. She is also a fan of BTS and has other hobbies like reading and ice skating.
Kevin
Kevin has been an active member of the IU Canada fan community since November 2019. He joined the admin team in December 2020 and is currently a French translator for the group. Kevin discovered IU in 2010 but only started following her just before the release of “BBIBBI” in 2018, His Top 3 IU songs are “Love poem”, “Lost Child” and “Dear Name”. Besides IU, his other hobbies include gaming and watching dramas.
Haesol
Haesol is from Korea and currently living in Vancouver. She joined the IU Canada team helping with translations and managing the Instagram account. She has been a Uaena since elementary school and her top 3 songs from IU's discography are "My Sea", "Love poem", and "Strawberry Moon". Haesol likes to spend her spare time travelling, vlogging and watching dramas.
