What would be a better way to introduce yourself to a celebrity you love than sending that person a handwritten heartfelt message along with a special gift? This was the first project planned after the launch of IU Canada, and needless to say, a very fitting one. It was organized to show support to IU and to introduce her to Canada and Canadian Uaenas (a.k.a. Canaenas). We began this project by collecting messages (via both handwritten submissions at outreach events and online submissions) and compiling them into a premium DIY Journal. We also purchased signature Canadian goodies (such as IU’s favourite chocolates) and a custom-engraved rollerball pen to go along with the journal. To show our gratitude to everyone who has been working together with IU and taking care of her, our project team designed, printed and hand wrote appreciation cards to “IU Team” and EDAM Entertainment’s staff. All the gifts were carefully packaged in a decorated shipping box and sent to IU in time to celebrate her 12th debut anniversary.
