IU debuted as a singer in Korea on September 18, 2008. Since 2010, she has been highly regarded as one of Korea’s top soloists with back-to-back releases topping all Korean music charts; frequently achieving a rare phenomenon known as a Perfect All-Kill (PAK). In 2011, IU released her first official self-composed song as an original sound track (OST) for the South Korean drama ‘The Greatest Love’. Since then, IU has been actively writing, composing, and producing her own songs and albums. She is the only singer to win 'Lyricist of the Year' two times at the Gaon Chart Music Awards.
